Martial arts gives you most of what you need: high end cardio, hardcore speed training, extreme flexibility, endurance, hand-eye coordination and building self-confidence through rigorous self-defense drills.
Add weight training and swimming to this and you have a recipe for killer body and killer moves.
CNN ran this headline today:
ISIS fighter was trained by State Department
This is one of those claims that really stretches the intellectual faculties of a sane man.
If false, it is just one more lie in the veritable sea of deception put forth by Isis/Isil/Dead Terrorist Army #1 in their quest to return the world to a former, more-savage slave pit of hopelessness, murder, rape, mutilation, desecration, and angel-worship.
If true, however, it is just one more betrayal in the veritable sea of betrayal by our own government, our military, our intelligence forces, and those “contractors” they hire (you know, the torturers and assassins they license to circumvent the Uniform Code of Military Justice, our founding principles and documents, and probably the Geneva Convention to boot – why leave anything out?) in creating the very regional and global threats to peace and prosperity they were invented to stop.
If you are under 14 years of age you have never lived in an America that was not at war. You live in a country that has never known peace. You are probably one of tens of millions of media-dozed spectators indifferent to the fact your country has contrived a forever war against a noun.
You know what these guys are, these officials, these bureaucrats, these assassins? They are the sorcerers in the court of Pharaoh who, when the nation was being crippled, brought to its knees by catastrophes, didn’t stop those catastrophes or those plagues, but boasted to Pharaoh “See? We can re-create these catastrophes and plagues too!”
They added to the catastrophe. They increased the problem: they compounded it and called it wisdom and power.
They amplified the anguish of their own countrymen, bragged about it, then padded themselves on the back for their ingenuity.
What did Pharaoh, the ruler of the world, do? He didn’t know any better: he too rose up from the ranks of career court fools. He was impressed his own staff exacerbated the disasters, not stunned in horror by it.
Presidents, like Pharaohs, seem easily impressed… and often about the wrong things.
