Happy Thanksgiving to everyone: family, friends, loved ones, colleagues and associates.
Every year I am truly grateful for the life I have been allowed to live.
Again, this year, I can say it has been a genuine honor to be the son of my father and mother, and to have the sister that I do. I owe them the work of my hands, and the wonder of my thoughts, and the immortal warmth of still truer things they shared with me from my first days.
As for my friends… it has been a wild ride full of ups and downs, pinches of mayhem, laughing mischief, creative adventures, and crossing many finish lines at the last minute of the eleventh hour. To the one who preserved me at his own expense, my undying gratitude… soon I hope to be manifest as recompense.
To my new friends and colleagues beyond the sea in Asia, my appreciation for your trust and daring in sharing a wild dream. I hope to reward that same trust in the coming months and years.
Lastly and most importantly, to the Father of Lights, who tirelessly Windexes clean the dark lens through which I see this life and the fuller one beyond it, please accept my silence as praise and my tears as joy, for the mind of Man has yet to invent a language deep and lovely enough to echo your grace back to you. The patience you have shown me is the very air I breathe.
“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that you measure it shall be measured to you again..”
Peace to everyone who deserves it, to those who don’t, and even to those who don’t know what it is.
