Deferred ≠ Paid

When someone promises you a position on any project—commercial, television, short film, feature film—is “Paid” that means you are either paid:

  1. Daily
  2. Weekly
  3. Project Rate

Paid does not mean Deferred.

A deferred payment is money that will be paid to you eventually…you know, in the future.

99.9% of all deferred payments are never honored. They may be well-intentioned, and there may be a dozen very valid reasons why  you cannot fulfill your promise of deferred funds—that’s another matter.  But you do not tell someone a position is paid when it is in fact deferred.

I do not accept deferred positions.
