The Magic Circle

I love this painting The Magic Circle by John William Waterhouse (1849-1917),  an English painter known for his Pre-Raphaelite style.

Works like A Roman Offering (1890),  Cleopatra (1888), Ophelia (1889), The Favorites of the Emperor Honorius (1883), Consulting the Oracle (1884) and Ulysses and the Sirens (1891) are also amazing.

Mirror Mirror

Uhura 3

There are many reasons to enjoy the Star Trek episode Mirror, Mirror (#33): the radical concept, the concept of opposites, the dialog.

But there’s also Lieutenant Uhura in a midriff and a thigh-high boots.

Do you need any other reason?

Really?

Do you?

I didn’t think so.
